This project aims to increase voluntary participation of young people aged 13-30 in on-going projects of the youth organizations and organizations working with young people facing social exclusion.
Language However many of you speak many different languages the official training language will be English only. But don't be scared if you think your English will not be good enough... We will support you and many activities will be possible in your own language, because of the aim to reach your personal final result. Aim and objectives · To develop and improve participants’ basic skills in such areas as communication, project management, time management, leadership, team building, · To develop specific skills needed for working with volunteers as recruitment, motivation, writing job descriptions, defining roles and responsibilities, assistance, monitoring and evaluation of experiences, awarding and appreciation etc. · To establish international networking with the strong focus on pan-European cooperation of organizations working with local volunteers, for the benefit of youngsters facing social exclusion.; · To establish a platform for experience exchange between participants; · To introduce best practices by organizations working with volunteers, · To strengthen the meaning of volunteering as a methodological tool for youth work; · In the follow up to establish groups of involved young people, facing social exclusion, as a target for youth exchanges and candidates for EVS; · To provide opportunity for the participants to discover their cultures and backgrounds. Intercultural evening On the second day of our training we plan to arrange the Inter-Cultural evening. You will present your own cultures – national, regional, personal or any kind of culture you feel you belong. This presentations/activity should not be just a “lecture” so try to find most creative way to show your culture. It means that all options are possible. A culture may be presented by a song, a story, a poem, a dance, some local special drinks or food, etc. You can bring pictures, music or anything which you consider to be most appropriate to present your culture.( see also further on in this guide.) Costs Board, lodging and programme costs will be provided and paid by grant from the National Agency of Flanders of the “YOUTH In Action” Programme. Insurance will not be covered from Programme cost, what means that you are obliged to take care of PERSONAL travel and health insurance on your own. Refund of travel expences There will be a refund of 70 percent of the real travel expenses (But they can not be more then the estimated amounts which were in the application to the national agency, a detailed list was sent to you a while ago… – IF YOU HAVE DOUBTS , PLEASE CONTACT US. ) We need to proof everything to the national agency: Without proof, unfortunately we can not refund. So please bring with you: 1 - a photocopy of your passport or identity card 2 - the original invoice of the flight ticket !( with clear mark how much you have paid) . This invoice should be addressed to yourself , or your organization or to “Wingerdbloei”. (If you receive an electronic ticket, please print out a copy also for us. Next to this we also ask you to bring a copy of the monthly overview of your credit card. Please make black the other personal expenses (we wish to respect the privacy) and put on a mark or a stamp of your organization. This proofs the real cost of the ticket. 3 - A photocopy of your original flight ticket 4 - save all boarding passes ( we need them!) 5 - Save all original train and bus tickets or other tickets. 6 - If you need to travel by car to the airport: We need a personal signed declaration of honor about the exact distance between your home place and the airport and you need to fill your car with the necessary amount of fuel for that trip, on the same day as your traveling. Save the payment ticket and give it to us so we can refund you. Costs for parking will unfortunately not be reimbursed...Transfers by Taxi , also will not be refunded , because the NA does not except this way as being the cheapest ... We wil try to reimburse you during the trainig, however, in some cases it will be possible that we will only be able to reimburse (maybe partly) by bank transfer... Please bring with you : · your IBAN bank acount number · SWIFT or BIC number · name and address of your bank Please note that we need to use the exchange rates of Belgium for foreign valuta...
