*What is "The Chemistry of Tolerance"**: *A 10 day international course on
deconstructing prejudice and building creative leadership skills. A chance
to meet new people from other countries, speak English and combine learning
*What are the goals: *To increase awareness, sensitivity and advocacy for
tolerance and human rights in Ukraine. To develop prospective leaders and
promote an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation among people form
different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds. To curb hate crimes,
discrimination and xenophobia in Ukraine and worldwide.
*Who will participate: *20 Ukrainians from all different ethnic, religious
and regional backgrounds, and 10 from other countries.
*Who are the organizers**: *Emine Ziyatdinova and Michelle Goldhaber, MDiv,
MSW, have been working together on this project since December 2007. Emine,
a sociology and history student in L'viv has extensive training on
leadership, creative pedagogy, teambuilding and ethnic minority issues.
Michelle has a background in multi-faith ministry, social work, mediation,
outdoor education and peacebuilding. She currently works for Outward Bound
and has recently started an international peacebuilding organization, "Seven

a school outside the town of Bakhchysaraj in Crimea, Ukraine. Nearby are
mountains, the Black Sea and a rich multi-cultural populace.
*When is it: *July 11-21, 2008
*How much does it cost: *EUR 40 for participants from Ukraine and the
developing world, and EUR 200 for participants from the developed world.
