Russian Union of Youth holds the XIV International Youth Festival "Russian Winter", which takes place from 20th to 22nd of February, 2010 in Yaroslavl area, Tutaevsky region, in the hotel "Lesnoe" (300 km from Moscow).
Among the founders of the Festival together with Russian Union of Youth there are Department on Youth Affairs of the Administration of Yaroslavl area and the Yaroslavl regional organization of the Russian Union of Youth. For the last 14 years RUY friends from Belarus, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg and other countries have been the guests at the Festival. Now we are waiting for You! Russian people have lots of wonderful traditions. Many of them are connected with winter. This Festival is a wonderful combination of the creative and sports competitions!!! The Festival goals are: - integration of youth from CIS and other foreign countries into civil society by means of widening international cooperation, national culture awareness, strengthening the youth relations between CIS and other foreign countries; - the development of physical exercises and sport, support of native traditions, customs, and games; - popularization of healthy life-style; - revelation of talented youth and its support; - exchange the information and experience in the sphere of youth work. We would be glad to see you as a guest of the XIV International Youth Festival "Russian Winter". Your team or group should be 12 people but don’t worry – if you have less – we will help you! If you have some participants we can always organize an international team. You'll enjoy it! Participation: Participation fee is 70 EUR per person. It includes travel expenses Moscow - Yaroslavl - Hotel Lesnoe – Yaroslavl - Moscow by bus, board and lodging, Festival program, cultural program in Tutaevsky region which is rich in historic monuments and churches. This is a very historical place as next year Yaroslavl’ is going to celebrate its Millennium Birthday. Visa: The participation fee includes expenses on the visa support. RUY makes it through Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF with the help of the Ministry of sport, tourism and youth policy of the RF (the purpose of visit is Youth Affairs). We appreciate much if you could find out if you can arrange the visa yourself (e.g. tourist visa or any other that can be quicklier and cheaper for you) and inform us about that. Language: You’ll have small course of Russian phrases at the beginning of the camp. All the program of the Festival is in Russian but in sports competitions you don’t need the language and for the creative part we will provide you the interpreter and the person who will assist you.
